The South Suburban Bar Association (SSBA) was founded in 1940 by attorneys who practiced in the south suburbs of Chicago. Today, it is a vibrant social and professional organization of over 100 attorneys who live and work in the area. The SSBA’s main goals are:
- To encourage a high standard of professional ethics among lawyers
- To promote a better understanding between the legal profession and the community
- To cultivate a better fraternal and social atmosphere among its members
With these goals in mind, the association provides valuable continued legal education for all of our members: pro bono and charity work; expert attorney referrals to the community; and many social events for lawyers, including monthly membership social hours, an annual golf outing, and the annual holiday party.
